Dear Practitioner,

Thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines come back from deployments to far-flung shores to be greeted with caring health care professionals caught up in an impossible snarl of red tape, complex requirements, and indifferent administrators.

Our intent is to provide mind/body health practitioners of all kinds access to military families to help soothe and heal wounds that dig deeper than the flesh.

If you are a mind/body worker willing to donate one or more sessions to one or more deserving military families, we want you!

Welcome and Thank You

Are you a veteran experiencing irrational fears, irritable bowels, nightmares, anger issues, grief, or any number of other issues and problems since returning home? Are you feeling fearful of your next deployment? Are you the spouse or partner of a veteran and want some relief from the stress?

We offer a directory of practitioners who provide critical mind/body services to U.S. troops and their family members. Practitioners graciously donate one or more sessions free of charge to current and past members of US military families.

Practitioners offer a wide range of mind/body services to US military and family members affected by current or past US military conflicts.

If you are an active duty, reserve, discharged, or retired military person or are a spouse, child, parent, sibling, extended family member, or unmarried partner of a member of the armed forces of the United States, and are finding it difficult to secure mind/body services through official channels, then you are in the right place.

No! It's NOT welfare or a handout...

We know you're not the kind to accept handouts - you're used to giving and being active in your community. We honor that about you and encourage you to continue supporting worthy causes in your area.

We ask only that you donate equal time to your community for the services you receive. That may mean cleaning up your own neighborhood; getting involved with youth in your church or local YWCA; or maybe getting involved in community welfare efforts of various types. In other words - continuing to serve as your heart directed you before you enlisted or sent a loved-one off to war.

Dear Veteran,

We honor your service to all of us. We acknowledge the sacrifices you and your family have made on our behalf. You may have endured combat in Iraq or Afghanistan in which you were placed in harms way - the terror of which can only be understood by those who have endured it.

As a former airman and then soldier who was lucky enough to escape injury during the Viet Nam and then Kuwait conflicts, I can appreciate your position and how deeply harmed you might be - not by bullets as much as sheer terror in the face of inescapable and ever-present life-threatening danger.

You are not weak if you are experiencing "symptoms" after service in a combat zone. Rather, it is evidence that you are robustly and healthily HUMAN.

Fortunately, you can do something to improve your situation and the lives of those you hold most dear. You and they can find the services of a mind/body worker who is willing to donate some of their time and expertise to you - our way of saying "Thank You!"

This is not charity! We expect that you will donate some of your time and expertise to further good causes in your own neighborhood - in exchange for the services you will receive from our practitioners.

In this way, the wave of goodwill can extend across the nation and turn the tide of war into an ocean of peace.
